After toying around with some things I have made a nice break through in hybrid support healing.I dub this spec the Senticar - in short a Battle Cleric
Senticar
Summary
A Battle Cleric who provides consistent heals on the tank and the raid while also putting amazing buffs and cool downs on the raid when need be. The ability to pull small dps numbers about 100 - 250 dps while keeping mana problems to a minimum. A spec that would give Clerics more versatility and a chance to define a Raid Group.
What you Obtain:
Consistent Tank and Raid Healing
Consistent Tank and Raid 5 % Damage Mitigation
Small Damage per second
Amazing Mana Efficiency and Versatility
Amazing Self Survivability
A Unique Spot in your Raid or Party
1 5 Minute Battle Rez
1 10 minute Battle Rez
1 5 minute Lay on Hands
1 2 minute Pain Suprres/Shield Wall
1 1 minute AoE Burst Heal
10 second Instant heal
45 second Instant Cast on any Heal
1 2 minute Decreased Cast time
1 1 minute Melee Mana Regen
Spell Synergy and Rotation
Now This is how it all works.
Your main buffs:
Salvation
Cavalier
Reparation
Mien of Honor
These 4 together will provide healing on yourself, others and also allow you to proc convictions. Your mien will also increase all of that healing by 50 percent.
Salvation will heal you in turn healing the target of your Mandate. Which leads me to the next part.
Putting the Mandate on your tank is the key part of this. He will receive all the healing from reparation and Mandate as well as having the access to your Reprieve (Lay on Hands) and A nice 800 - 900 heal in your Doctrine.
Combat Synergy
How this will work is after applying said buffs from above this is how combat will work.
Healing Spraying your tank for extra serendipity,Greater essence and trinket procs.
Dpsing to gain convictions and to do healing and to provide a CONSISTENT 5% damage mitigation with Protect the Flock. This is probably the best synergy of this whole Soul.
Because of all this healing you will most likely have a very high uptime on serendipity so if healing ever get a bit heavy you have the option to quickly switch to Healing Invocation and heal the tank. Also equipped with Healing Breath and Touch the Light for an instant cast of Healing Invocation. You also have a nice Lay on Hands ability in Reprieve in case things go South fast.
For AoE damage you have a few options. You will always have a consistent stream of healing on everyone due to reparation, You also have the Doctrine of Loyalty approach. For Quick burst AoE Heals you still obtain Divine Favor from the Sentinel Tree. Healing Communion is also available if need be and is encourage more due to the high mana regen possibilities of Senticar.
Your Cool downs and You
One of the best parts of this Soul is the Utility of Cool downs at your disposal.
You have:
1 5 Minute Battle Rez
1 10 minute Battle Rez
1 5 minute Lay on Hands
1 2 minute Pain Suprres/Shield Wall
1 1 minute AoE Burst Heal
10 second Instant heal
45 second Instant Cast on any Heal
1 2 minute Decreased Cast time
1 1 minute Melee Mana Regen
Now if that isn't a huge arsenal of healing and defensive cooldowns...
What sets YOU apart from other hybrid healers
The difference between you and other hybrid classes is the fact that you can switch from dps to heals with the blink of an eye and without putting yourself at any significant disadvantage.
If you are unable to melee dps for periods of times during the fight nothing is stopping you from sitting back and queuing up some Healers Invocations,Healing Grace's and Healing Spray along with Healing Breathe. You would still put out very high healing efficiency compared to some of the Pure Healing Classes. You have Some coold owns as well to work with this ie Healer's Haste and Touch the Light as well as your Pain Suppression/Shield Wall.
You can fill a unique spot in your raid very similar to a bard and provide amazing buffs for fights such as Prince Hylas in GSB.
Conclusion
All in All the Senticar can become somewhat of an Icon for cleric healers and hybrids. With it's amazing versatility,Cooldowns and the amazing tools it brings to a raid the Senticar is something that no raid should ever turn down or laugh at.
This spec and soul will take a lot of hardwork, dedication and skill to master but it can be a soul that could come along to solo heal most instances in 5 mans and prove to be a vital member of a 20 man raid comp.
I hope this guide shed some light on the vast possibilities of Rift. Check out our website for new and always up to date Guides and Articles on all 4 of the Callings.
